Connect with researchers working on the theory-measurement gap

I

Join Our Network

TMM welcomes researchers interested in the translation between theory and measurement. We bring together members from diverse fields, including but not limited to cognitive modeling, psychometrics, experimental psychology, and philosophy of science. Membership is free and open to all.

Regular Meetings & Events

We organize seminars, workshops, and conferences bringing together researchers working on the intersection of psychological theory, computational modeling, and measurement.

Working Groups

Join focused working groups that tackle specific challenges at the theory-measurement interface. Working groups meet regularly to discuss ideas, share progress, and develop collaborative projects.

Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration

Connect with researchers from psychometrics, computational modeling, philosophy of science, and substantive domains. Our network fosters collaborations that bridge methodological expertise with empirical research questions.

Propose a Project Idea

Have a rough idea about theory-measurement alignment? Share it. If others are interested, it can grow into a working group. Not every idea needs to be fully formed—that's what collaboration is for.

Discussion Topics

What questions should the field be grappling with? Propose topics you think deserve attention—contested assumptions, unresolved tensions, or emerging challenges in theory-measurement alignment.

We organize discussions as network events—online or at workshops.
